Yes, I think so:

-I have set up the ldap connection in Lotus Notes (da.nsf) and in Sametime Web Administration.
- I'm not using authentication for searching in ldap server. I have made searches whith "ldapsearch" without authentication and all looks normal.
- I have used ldapsearch to make the seame search whith the base dn indicated for searching in Sametime and the same searchfilter and the result was ok.
